About The Founder
Catherine Branscome created BRANSCOME INTERNATIONAL in 2000 after leaving her position as the Vice President of International Distribution for GoodTimes Entertainement in New York (1996-2000).
At GoodTimes, Catherine ran the division and led the sales effort for television and home video titles, including live action childrenšs films and over 40 animated programs (fairy tales, bible stories, and titles based on well-known childrenšs literature).
Catherine raised a significant portion of the $10 million budget for the 1998/1999 international hit, RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDER: THE MOVIE (John Goodman as the voice of Santa Claus, Whoopi Goldberg as the Evil Ice Queen) through pre-sale deals with leading multiple rights buyers across Europe.
(1994-95)
Catherine managed the Los Angeles office of Myriad Pictures and licensed their catalogue of over 50 music and documentary television specials to networks worldwide, including to the A&E Network in the U.S.
(1992-94) Catherine headed up Dandelion USA - the Los Angeles office of the U.K. company Dandelion Distribution. As Director of Sales and International Co-Productions, she secured a coproduction deal with the U.S Discovery Channel entitled PACIFICA: TALES OF THE SOUTH SEAS which premiered in the fall of 1993 as a prime time documentary series.
(1990-92) As Executive Director of International Sales for Crystal Sky Communications, Catherine ran all operations for the international department while leading the sales team in selling over 25 direct-to-video and television movies.
(1988-90) Catherine began her career in distribution sales as the International Sales Manager at Odyssey Distributor. Her pre-sales of major theatrical films included THE HANDMAIDšS TALE (Faye Dunaway, Robert Duvall), Q&A (Nick Nolte, Armand Assante) and AUNT JULIA AND THE SCRIPWRITER (Barbara Hershey, Keanu Reeves).
During the mid-'80s, Catherine wrote, produced and executive produced television shows for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, many of which won prestigious awards including a Cable Ace and an Emmy.
